Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg flour
  • 1 cube of yeast
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 600 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 tbsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Mix the yeast with the honey until both are liquid, then add the lukewarm water and sprinkle in the salt. Mix everything well. Gradually sprinkle in the flour, knead, and immediately form rolls. Place them on a baking sheet. Score them and let them rise for about 30 minutes. Now place the rolls in a cold oven, preheat the oven to 200°C, and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Variations: You can optionally sprinkle the rolls with sesame, flax, pumpkin, or sunflower seeds, or replace the flour with whole-wheat flour or partially whole-wheat bran with 100 ml of liquid sourdough.
