Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 ½ cup(s) flour (wholemeal flour, spelt or wheat)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pinch(s) of sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Variation of scones
Mix the dry ingredients. Stir in the buttermilk with a wooden spoon. Knead into a light dough and shape it into a small loaf on a floured surface. Then cut into four pieces (like a cake) and brush with a little buttermilk. Place on a rack and bake at 220 degrees Celsius (preheated to 425 degrees Fahrenheit) for 20 minutes. Enjoy while still warm with a little butter.
