Resa's poppy seed rice pudding

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 125 g rice pudding
  • 500 ml milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds (steamed)

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Bring the milk, rice pudding, and a pinch of salt to a boil briefly, then reduce the heat to low. Stir frequently to prevent burning. Shortly before the end of the cooking time, when the consistency is still a bit runny, stir in the poppy seeds and vanilla sugar and finish cooking the rice pudding until it reaches a firm consistency. Poppy seed rice pudding tastes best served warm. But it’s also delicious cold! You can add more or less vanilla sugar and poppy seeds to taste.
