Side Dishes: Vegetables – Finger Food
The perfect side dishes: vegetables – finger food recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- Raw food:
- 4 Carrots
- 1 Kohlrabi
- 4 Rods Celery
- 4 Paprika
- 1 Cucumber
- Tomato and mozzarella skewers:
- 750 g Cumato tomato minis
- 2 Packages Mozzarella minis
- Olive oil
- Bianco balsamic vinegar
- Salt
- Pepper
- Dried basil
- 1 pot Basil
- For the cheese skewers:
- 250 g Mountain cheese
- 300 g Müritz cheese
- 300 g Wasabi cheese
- 600 g Seedless red grapes
- Yoghurt herb dip:
- 300 g Greek yogurt 10% fat
- 200 g Sour cream 10% fat
- 1 Handful Herbs from the garden
- 1 Chinese garlic
- Sea salt from the mill
- Black pepper from the mill
- Sweet paprika
- We organized a party to say goodbye to a colleague and my contribution to the meal was finger food raw food. The difficulty was that we had to pack everything well and also transport it by train, so this time there are no photos of the decorated end product.
- For the raw vegetables, peel the carrots and kohlrabi and cut into bite-sized sticks. Wash the celery and cut into sticks (I cut the slightly thicker end pieces in half lengthways), wash the cucumber and cut into slices. Wash, core and cut the peppers (red, yellow, orange and green). Pack everything so that it can be transported.
- For the tomato and mozzarella skewers, first make a marinade for the mini mozzarella from olive oil, balsamic vinegar and salt, pepper and basil from the mill. Marinate the mozzarell balls in it for an hour. Pluck the basil leaves from the stems and wash and dry carefully. Wash and dry the tomatoes. Then put the mozzarella, basil leaf and tomato on a small wooden skewer and pack for transport.
- For the cheese skewers I bought 3 different types of cheese, a delicious mountain cheese, the mild Müritzer cheese and the slightly spicy Wasabi cheese. Debark the cheese and cut into cubes. Put on skewers with the washed grapes and pack.
- I made three different dips for this, the yoghurt and herb dip from the ingredients mentioned above. You can see the links to the other two dips from my cookbook below.

- That was my contribution to our meal, which we enjoyed on a sailing ship, with many other delicacies that do not require knives and forks. Roasted chicken drumsticks, meatballs, baked puff pastry, bread, fruit and much more.
