Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 apples
- 125 g flour
- 125 ml milk or beer
- 2 egg yolks
- ½ packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2 egg whites
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- Cinnamon and sugar for rolling
- Clarified butter, for frying

Peel the apples and cut into 1/2 cm thick slices. Core them. In a bowl, combine the flour with milk or beer until smooth. Stir in the egg yolks, vanilla sugar, and oil. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt and the sugar until stiff. Fold into the batter. Dip the apple slices into the batter using a fork and fry in clarified butter or hot oil until light brown. Mix the sugar and cinnamon and roll the cakes in it.
