Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 200 g quark
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 1 onion(s)
  • n. B. garlic
  • Salt
  • Paprika powder
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

This specified amount is a good portion for a party buffet. Combine the cream cheese, quark, and sour cream in a bowl. Whisk vigorously until smooth. Peel and coarsely grate the onion, and stir it into the cream. Season with freshly crushed garlic, pepper, salt, and paprika. Refrigerate the Spundekäs for about 3 hours before serving. Serve with pretzels, freshly baked bread, or boiled potatoes. Note: Spundekäs originally comes from Mainz. However, it can also be found in Rheinhessen or the Rheingau.
