Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes
  • 250 g diced ham
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 250 ml buttermilk
  • 1 small lettuce (endive)
  • Salt
  • 30 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash the endive, cut into thin strips, and set aside. Peel the potatoes, boil in salted water, and drain. Mash the potatoes, then mash them, and add the buttermilk. Peel and finely chop the onion and fry them with the diced ham in the heated butter. Stir into the mashed potatoes and season with salt. Just before serving, fold in the endive strips. Buttermilk is said to make the mashed potatoes lighter, but regular milk will also work.
