Butterflies in the stomach – makes about 50 cookies.

To make approximately 25 red and 25 green butterfly cookies, prepare the dough in two separate mixing bowls at the same time. Whisk together 62.5g of flour, 1 pinch of baking powder, 37.5g sugar, 1 sachet of vanilla sugar, and the appropriate type of jelly powder in the mixing bowl. Add 37.5g of cold, flaked butter and 1 tbsp of water to each. Knead with your hands until a smooth dough forms and form into a ball. Wrap the red and green balls in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about an hour. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin on a floured surface and cut out colorful butterflies using butterfly cutters. Place these on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for about eight minutes. Place the baking sheet, complete with cookies, on a wire rack and let the butterflies cool. Dust with powdered sugar.
