The slightly different latte macchiato

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 cup(s) coffee (fresh espresso)
  • Milk, 2 half glasses (microwaveable)
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

The well-known latte macchiato with a twist, but no worse, just different. Warm the milk slightly (in the microwave for about 1 minute at 850 watts. Important: the milk must not boil), then add the vanilla sugar and froth it up with a milk frother. Slowly pour in the espresso from the side using a spoon and you’re done. A small variation: instead of the vanilla sugar, add just a tiny shot of Baileys (original or imitation) and then froth it up; this way the foam tastes a bit like Baileys milk. You can also add a little sugar. If you add too much Baileys, the milk will no longer froth properly, i.e. hard enough. It will still taste good, but won’t look quite as good. If you like the recipe, just give it a try and raise your cups!
