quick autumn cake, for 16 pieces
Put the flour in a bowl, make a well, and break the egg into the well. Spread the butter in flakes over the flour on the side of the bowl. Foam the baking powder with the vinegar and sugar and add to the egg. Mix everything briefly, add the sour cream and knead into a smooth dough. Let the dough rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, peel the apples, coarsely grate them, mix them with the gelling sugar, clove powder and cinnamon and sauté for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Divide the dough in half and use a rolling pin to roll one half out into a rectangle to fit a baking sheet. Place it on the baking sheet and spread the applesauce on top. Then place the second rolled out half of the dough on top. Prick the dough a few times with a fork and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes. Once the cake is finished baking, sprinkle with powdered sugar and slice while cold.
