Ingredients

  • 2 Onions
  • 100 g Bacon slices
  • 0,5 Yellow peppers
  • 0,5 Green peppers
  • 0,5 Red peppers
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoon Grill spice mix **
  • Chilli flakes
  • Watered wooden skewers

Instructions

  • Peel and quarter the onions and then cut into individual skins (or two skins).
  • Cut the bacon slices crosswise into four parts.
  • Wash the bell peppers, remove the seeds and light inner skins and cut the vegetables into large pieces. Then loosely stick the onions, bacon and peppers alternately on the wooden skewers.
  • For the marinade, mix the oil with lemon juice and the grill spice mixture and brush the vegetable skewers with it. I then sprinkled a few chilli flakes over it because we like it spicy.
  • Leave the marinade on for half an hour and then grill the skewers until they are appetizingly browned.
  • I served my vegetable skewers today with baked potatoes and a herb dip.
