Vegetarian party rolls

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 rolls
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g crème fraîche
  • 2 tsp, heaped mustard
  • 2 tsp, heaped tomato paste
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 2 m.-large gherkins
  • 100 g cheese, spicy, grated or cut into fine cubes
  • 2 tbsp, heaped corn
  • salt and pepper

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

very simple, easy to eat from the hand

Halve the rolls and hollow them out. Knead the insides of the rolls with the eggs, then stir in the crème fraîche, mustard, and tomato paste. Chop the onion fairly finely, chop the garlic very finely, and dice the bell peppers and cucumbers. Fold the onion, garlic, bell peppers, cheese, corn, and cucumbers into the mixture and season with salt and pepper. Fill the mixture into the roll halves. Bake the rolls in the oven at approximately 180°C (convection oven) for approximately 20 to 25 minutes, until the tops are nicely browned.
