Vital Crispbread

The perfect vital crispbread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 120 g Spelled flour
  • 120 g Oatmeal
  • 150 g Mixed seeds – sunflower, pumpkin, pine
  • 50 g Sesame
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 400 ml Water
  • 120 g Cheese – grated
  1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees circulating air. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper. Grate cheese, prepare.
  2. Mix all ingredients well. Is pretty fluid at first. Let something swell. Then spread a thin layer on the baking sheet and bake for 60 minutes on the middle rack.
  3. After 15 minutes of baking time, take the tray out of the oven and cut the sheet of dough, which is still soft but no longer liquid, into rectangles with a sharp knife or pizza roller. Sprinkle with grated cheese and put in the oven for the rest of the time. The crispbread should be light golden brown, then it’s ready.
  4. So that it stays nice and crisp when stored for a long time, keep it in a lockable box. With us, however, it never lasts very long …………..
