Whole Grain Milk Bread

The perfect whole grain milk bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 300 Wheat flour
  • 200 g Wholemeal rye flour
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 1 packet Dry yeast
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Seed mix
  1. Mix wheat and rye flour with yeast, salt and sugar and knead with lukewarm milk.
  2. When the dough no longer sticks to the bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place for an hour.
  3. Knead again and press into a floured loaf pan – leave to rest for another hour.
  4. Brush with warm milk or melted butter and sprinkle with the grains.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 190 ° C fan oven for 40 minutes.
  6. Tip 6: when you put the bread in the hot oven, put a handful of ice cubes on the bottom of the oven and keep the door closed while baking so that the water vapor does not escape!
