Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 m.-sized eggs
- 100 ml cream, alternatively milk or half and half
- 40 g flour
- 45 g sugar
- 2 drops of vanilla extract
- 1 pinch of salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 6 slices of brioche bread
- some fat for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
To soak the brioche bread, mix all the ingredients together and place the slices of bread in the brioche. It’s best to poke lots of small holes in the bread with a fork to allow the bread to absorb the liquid. Turn the slices over after 1-2 minutes. Heat some oil in a pan and cook the bread over medium heat until browned on both sides. They taste best with powdered sugar and maple syrup, but they also taste great with jam, whipped cream, sour cream, cream cheese, or ice cream.
