Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 ml sweet cream
  • 300 g processed cheese with herbs, cream or ham
  • 500 ml milk (3.5%)
  • 300 g ham (cooked ham)
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 100 g peas
  • 3 m.-large tomato(s)
  • oil
  • Parsley
  • oregano
  • Salt and pepper, black

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Also suitable for large quantities

Peel and dice the onion and fry in a little oil in a saucepan/tilted frying pan. Cut the ham into thin strips, then into small pieces, add to the onions and fry for a moment. Add the milk and cream and heat. Stir constantly, as it will otherwise burn easily. Stir in the cream cheese using a wooden spoon (it will clump otherwise) and dissolve. Add the peas and bring to a boil briefly, stirring constantly, then remove from the heat. Season to taste with parsley, oregano, black pepper and salt if desired. Heat the tomatoes briefly in a hot water bath, peel and dice them. Add to the sauce and let it simmer without reheating. Serve with tortellini, salad and red wine. Tip: The sauce can be diluted with milk or made thicker with a light sauce thickener.
