Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 liter red wine, dry, e.g. Pinot Noir
  • 8 cardamom pods
  • 10 cloves
  • 10 grains of allspice
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 4 star anise
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp anise seeds
  • 1 orange(s), untreated
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 250 ml water
  • n. B. ginger root

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Place the spices in a large tea bag and seal it. Heat with wine and water for 25 minutes, but do not boil. Then add the orange and let it steep for another 15 minutes. Remove the spices and season with sugar. If you like, add a few pieces of ginger.
