Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 5 schnitzels (ham schnitzel)
- 1 medium-sized garlic clove(s)
- 2 m.-sized onion(s)
- 1 bunch of parsley
- 250 ml natural yogurt
- 250 ml white wine (can also be semi-dry)
- 10 tbsp flour
- 3 m.-sized eggs
- 10 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 5 pinch(s) salt
- 5 pinch(s) pepper
- 2 pinch(s) paprika powder, sweet
- 8 tbsp olive oil
- 2 dashes of Maggi
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
First, pound the schnitzels until smooth. Then season them (salt, pepper, paprika). It’s best to mix the spices in a bowl and then pour them over the schnitzels. Add a little salt to the three eggs, if desired – and I add a dash of Maggi – if you don’t like it, just leave it out. Now coat the schnitzels in flour, then dip them in the beaten eggs, and finally coat them in breadcrumbs until evenly coated. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the schnitzels for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Meanwhile, chop the onions, garlic, and parsley – this works best in a food processor. Then, once all the schnitzels are cooked, sauté them in the same pan. Now add the yogurt and deglaze with white wine, if desired. Let everything simmer for another 5-6 minutes. Drizzle the sauce over the schnitzels – it tastes great with pasta.
